Christmas Cathedral

Introduction

The inspiration for this year's piece was the stained glass of cathedrals and churches. There had to be a way to re-create that color and beauty with sugar, so I opted for a combination of painting/piping melted ginger candy windows, and creating the Rose Window focal piece. I was most inspired by the window designs of Gothic cathedrals. I also had these amazing gingerbread men sprinkles that were begging to be used for something cool and creating that depth of grand entrance carvings feelings was perfect.
