Laying the pieces out to cut - do not remove the extras and it helps the shapes stay put

The base of krispy treats was not nearly smooth enough for the book page, so I baked HUGE gingerbread squares to lay on the top

This is how you curve gingerbread: Hot out of the oven, gently place the still-soft dough on a mold and wait for it to cool

When you walk away from the oven while melting candy windows

Then you use that one to practice and get the second on right

Made from fondant and modeling dough

Covered the outside with fondant and scored the edges to make it look like pages

Herbs from the garden make for a lovely forest walk
