Christmas on Main Street

2018

Introduction

While doing my Sunday Morning Routine of roving Pinterest for neat ideas for gingerbread in early January, I came across these amazing Hungarian traditional piped gingerbread cookies. I fell in love with the patterns and the piping and the simple (and yet so very complicated) beauty of this technique. I made up my mind that my piping skills were going to be the focus of this year's piece. In essence, I wanted to make a gingerbread mantle clock and had to order that tiny clock from England! The lights pack is in the cottage and the Town Hall roof comes off to replace the battery in the clock tower. The brown, gold and white palette was so refreshing to work with.
